NCAD Graduate Showcase 2021

NCAD’s Graduate Showcase 2021 will bring together the work of all of its final-year and postgraduate students from Thursday 24 June. This year’s event will combine NCAD Works 2021, the college’s digital platform where all the graduates’ work can be experienced, with a range of live events taking place in The National Print Museum, IMMA, and various locations around Dublin and online. The Graduate Showcase 2021 features the work of graduates from NCAD’s Schools of Fine Art, Design and Education, together with postgraduates from the MFA in Fine Art, MFA in Digital Art and MFA Design programmes. The students from Fashion and Textile and Surface Design will exhibit their collections in the National Print Museum. The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic, women’s sexual health, sustainability and the circular economy, celebrating the ordinary and designs for social change are all key contemporary themes that the students’ work explores in this year’s show. The collection includes the work of Amy Kerr who won the National colour competition by the SDC Society of Dyers and Colourists and will now go forward to the international heats, to represent Ireland later this year.

The image included is taken from ‘Into the Blues’ a collection created by Cliona McLoughlin.

The exhibition opens to the public on Friday 25 June 2021. Admission is free of charge.
