15 Aug Green Sleeves Talk – Heritage Week
Green Sleeves Curators’ Talk with Dr Ciarán Swan and Niall McCormack for Heritage Week 2021
Thursday 19 August, 13.00
Green Sleeves was a hugely popular onsite exhibition at the National Print Museum. Now, with the help of The Heritage Council Community Fund, the Museum has started to digitise some of its exhibitions.
Curated by Dr Ciarán Swan and Niall McCormack, the exhibition examines the Irish-printed album cover – seven decades of LP covers in Ireland. Included album covers were all designed or printed in Ireland. The work was completed for Irish groups, who worked at home or abroad, as well as albums from abroad referencing Ireland or Irishness. The collection dates from the late 1950s to the present day, and covers a wide range of musical and non-musical genres.
Join the curators for this special virtual talk on curating the exhibition, and more recently curating its digital existence.
Free event, booking essential.https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_UziK5M1uTYizuyC29ZobXg
