National Drawing Day

3D Print a Drawing

Send us a simple line drawing. Use a thick pen or marker and keep your sketch to about 5cm in size.
Take a quick snap with your phone or scan it and email it to education@nationalprintmuseum.ie
We’re taking entries anytime until noon on Saturday 16 May. The first 10 suitable drawings received will be used.

On National Drawing Day, the afternoon of Saturday 16 May, your drawing will be transformed into a digital file to be 3D printed! We’ll film the 3D printing process and make a short time-lapse film for you. Keep an eye on our social media as we post the films throughout the afternoon.

We’ll mount your 3D print to a base to make it into a printing block. Come visit us at the Print Museum when we reopen in July and you can pull a print yourself!
