02 Mar AONTAS STAR Award Nomination 2020
The National Print Museum is delighted to announce that its Cultural and Heritage Studies Course has been shortlisted for an AONTAS STAR Award 2020!
AONTAS is Ireland’s national adult learning organisation who promote the value and benefits of adult learning, and advocate on behalf of the sector. Every year they host STAR (Showcasing Teamwork, Awarding Recognition) Awards, to acknowledge the fantastic work undertaken by adult learning initiatives throughout Ireland. The awards celebrate the positive contribution that these initiatives make to our society, our economy and our local communities.
“I am writing in relation to your nomination for the AONTAS STAR Awards. The quality of nominations this year was exceptional, resulting in a highly competitive process. An independent panel of judges carried out a detailed review of all the nominations received in your category and we are delighted to inform you that Local Training Initiative in Cultural and Heritage Studies has been shortlisted for an AONTAS STAR Award in the Adult Learning Initiatives that Support Third Level Access & Engagement category.”
All together 22 adult learning initiatives across Ireland have been shortlisted for an AONTAS Star Award 2020, and we are one of three programmes shortlisted in the Third Level Access and Engagement category. We’re absolutely delighted to have gotten this far and it’s a testament to all the hard work our staff and students, past and present. It would not have been possible without the support of the CDETB. The winners will be announced at the STAR Awards Ceremony on Monday 2nd March.
