Collection Close-Ups at the National Print Museum

Join us at the National Print Museum as we delve into the untold stories of a diverse selection of objects from our collection. Documentation Project Manager Dr Aoife Cosgrove will provide a behind-the-scenes look at her work in the Museum, while also spotlighting a number of interesting items from the collection, including some which have never before been on public display. In her talk, Dr Cosgrove will explore the histories and mysteries associated with these objects, revealing their significance to the Museum and to the history of the printed word.

Thanks to the Museum’s current digitisation and cataloguing project supported by the Heritage Council through the Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2025, attendees will be able to get an up-close look at the featured pieces through newly-commissioned professional photographs, while also having the chance to view some objects first-hand. Inspired by the National Heritage Week 2025 theme of “Exploring Our Foundations”, this talk will shine a light on how the National Print Museum’s collection came to be, while also looking ahead to the exciting future that it has in store.

Free, booking essential.
