Stereotype Cylinders

Description

Five metal stereotype cylinders used to prevent the wearing down of type. Made from hot metal that was poured onto a flong. Once created, they would be inserted into a cylinder press and could easily be replaced when worn down. Three of these pieces are attached together to form a tall display, one from The Sunday Press (with flong attached), one from the Sunday Independent, and one from the irish Independent. Another two pieces can be found on he ground nearby, one from The Sunday Press and one from the Sunday Independent.
