Flongs
Description
Flongs are made by applying a rubbery paper mixture to a forme/lock-up's surface. When hardened, this flong could then be used to cast a type of metal printing plate called a stereotype. This stereotype could be attached to a printing press to quickly print a large volume of copies of the page.
