Volunteering

Volunteering – Printers, typesetters and bookbinders

One of the National Print Museum’s most valued  resources is its panel of active retired printers, typesetters and bookbinders, who demonstrate and maintain the Collection on a regular basis. The Museum continuously seeks to recruit new members to this panel aka The Chapel, so if you worked in the industry and are interested in passing on your knowledge and skills then please get in touch!

Volunteering – Front of House

NOTE: At the moment, we are at capacity with volunteers for Front of House; however, please do get in touch should you wish to be considered for potential volunteer openings later in the year.

The Museum has recently introduced a Front of House Volunteering Scheme. The positions are part-time and duties include: welcoming visitors to the Museum; recording visitor numbers; invigilating; and dealing with telephone and email enquiries. The nature and size of the Museum means that if desired, a volunteer can get involved in some other aspects of the Museum’s workings (for example, tour guiding).
