The National Print Museum is a private company (company number 199069) and registered charity (RCN 20027711, CHY 10701).

Status: The National Print Museum is a Company Limited by Guarantee and a Registered Charity (RCN 20027711, CHY 10701).

Support: The Museum is chiefly funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht,  City of Dublin Education Training Board through the Culture and Heritage Course and the Office of Public Works with provision of space. To see current project sponsors see here.

Accreditation: The Museum is fully accredited under the Heritage Council’s Museum Standards Programme for Ireland.

Intangible Cultural Heritage: In 2019, the Museum successfully applied to have letterpress printing listed on the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage (under the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage).
