A guided tour is one of the most popular ways of exploring the National Print Museum. The tour begins with an optional audio-visual presentation, which offers the opportunity to observe demonstrations of many of the machines in the Museum’s collection.
The tour guide will then lead the visitor on their journey of discovery through printing history, explaining the various technologies on display in the permanent collection. In addition to the many machines in the Museum, there are a number of pieces of special interest including an original 1916 Proclamation, an original 1922 Óglaigh na hEireann Proclamation and the Bookbinders Fellowship Banner. The tour concludes with the opportunity to view the temporary exhibitions that the Museum regularly hosts.
The National Print Museum endeavours to offer guided tours to groups of all abilities. Please contact the
Education Officer if there is anything that we could provide to enhance your visit.
